Mamata Banerjee invited Ghulam Ali via a tweet on her Twitter page.

She tweeted: “Music has no boundaries. Music is the rhythm of the heart. Ghulam Ali ji’s concert can be held in Kolkata. We will make all arrangements.”

Ghulam Ali’s concert in Mumbai was supposed to be held at the Shanmukhananda Hall, a favourite venue for Shiv Sena since decades to organise its functions. (Also Read: Minister invites Ghulam Ali to perform in Delhi)

Earlier too, the Shiv Sena had opposed Pakistani singer Atif Aslam’s concert in Pune as well as protested against Pakistan’s national cricket team from playing on Indian soil.
