Church attacked in Navi Mumbai

MUMBAI: A group of unidentified men on Saturday attacked the Saint George Catholic Church in New Panvel area of Navi Mumbai in the wee hours by hurling stones.

The attackers, riding pillion on a motorcycle at around 1:30 am hurled stones at the Saint George Catholic church located near a bridge in the area. The covering glass outside the statue of Saint George got damaged in the attack, said police, adding that the attackers had covered their faces. 

According to a police official, the whole incident was captured on a CCTV camera and the footage has been verified by the police.

Meanwhile, additional reinforcements were called in and security around the area has been tightened, said the official.

An FIR has been lodged at Khandeshwar police station against the unidentified men and the police has started probe in this case.

The church was built in 2007 and belongs to the Syro Malabar denomination.

I think it is a big conspiracy against India. And may be internal dirty politics is involve in all this, to let down the reputation of Indian government,particularly. PM Modi.Or some people are playing in foreign hands to destroy India's secular image. Govt. should take serious action, if there are any kind of conspiracy, expose them.
