Mayor's husband who also received bullet injuries is in a critical condition and undergoing treatment.
BJP leader Krishna Sagar Rao shared his heartfelt condolences on the incident and said, “The police will certainly investigate how this happened and who has done this. It’s an unfortunate incident but it would be premature to make any statement at this particular moment.
P Prabhakar, Advisor to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister said, "I am very shocked about this and condemn the act. We don’t expect this kind of thing to happen. If there are any political differences then one should fight it politically. We have been talking from the beginning that violence and these kinds of murderous activities should be stopped.”
Congress leader Madhu Goud Yaskhi said, "It's very shocking to hear this sad news. It is time for Chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to concentrate on the law and order situation in the State rather than concentrating on Amaravati.”
