Delhi: A ruckus broke out at the commencement of the Delhi Assembly between 3 BJP MLAs and an AAP MLA.

The furore was apparently ignited by the BJP MLA's scathing attack on AAP MLA Alka Lamba's comment purporting that more and more homeless people were dying from drug abuse. The BJP MLAs exclaimed that Lamba's motive behind advocating 'drug eradication' was to escape the responsibilities pertaining to food and shelter for the homeless.

Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister, said, "A woman (Lamba) who is raking the issue again and again must have broken social norms herself."

BJP MLA OP Sharma was suspended for two days for using an obscene, sexist remark in the assembly.
