Nay Pyi Taw: A draft framework for holding political dialogue between the government and ethnic groups was drawn up as part of the implementation of the National Cease fire Accord (NCA), an official said on Sunday.
The framework for political dialogue inclusive of all stakeholders was drafted by a special drafting committee of the tripartite Union Peace Dialogue Joint Committee (UPDJC), Xinhua reported.
The draft framework for political dialogue will be submitted to a meeting of UPDJC for approval scheduled for December 14 in Nay Pyi Taw.
After the approval of the draft of the framework, the first round of formal dialogue is to start before January 14, 2016 in accordance with the timeline of the ceasefire term, the report said.
Myanmar government and eight armed groups out of 15 signed the NCA on October 15 and efforts were being made to bring the remaining seven to join the signing to complete the peace process.
