New Delhi: It was a cold Sunday morning here with the mercury dipping to five degrees Celsius, the season’s minimum temperature so far, making the night the coldest in this season, the weather office said.
The minimum temperature was three notches below the season’s average, an official of the India Meteorological Department said. However, the sky remained clear in the morning with moderate fog in many areas, officials said.
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 20 degrees Celsius. According to the weather office, the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 94 percent.
Saturday’s maximum temperature was recorded at 21 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season.
