Delhi government to give Rs 1 crore for Delhi policemen who die on duty

New Delhi: The Delhi government has decided to give Rs 1 crore as compensation to the families of Delhi Police personnel who die on duty, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced on Tuesday.

"Any employee of the Delhi Police or other armed forces associated with the Delhi government and serving in Delhi will be provided Rs 1 crore compensation if they die on duty," Sisodia told reporters.

"We will create a separate fund in this connection. The allocation of this fund will also be included in the budget," he added.
