Minor blast in Panipat-Ambala Passenger Train

Panipat: A minor blast took place in a passenger train between Panipat-Ambala at Panipat railway station. The blast occurred in a compartment which was next to the locomotive when the train was about to leave the Panipat Railway station, a police official said.
One woman received minor injuries and some window panes of the coach were conked out in the blast. Fortunately, there were not major casualties and all other passengers onboard the train were safe.
Government Railway Police (GRP), police personnel along with forensic experts and bomb disposal squads reached the spot soon after receiving the blast information.
According to reports, the reason behind the blast is yet to be confirmed, but an inquiry has been ordered by the railways in the incident. The railway authorities along with Forensic Science Laboratory (FSC) have been asked to investigate the cause of the blast.
