MADHYA PRADESH: In what can certainly be termed as a ‘miraculous’ incident, a family in Jabalpur region of Madhya Pradesh had a pleasant surprise when they saw their new born little angel, ‘declared dead’ by the doctors returned to life just before being cremated on Sunday evening.

The incident leaving the family members into a surprising shock had sent the locals into tizzy, as several termed it a ‘miracle’.

A resident of Hanumantaal in Jabalpu, Sonu, wife of Akash Maratha was admitted to Mannulal Trust hospital for delivery on Saturday. The woman delivered a baby girl on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday,

The infant, soon after the birth was declared dead by the physician and the hospital handed over the girl to the family for the last rites.

After the grieved family members reached Ranitaal-based crematorium for performing the last rites of the new born and dug a pit for burying the ‘dead’ baby, the priest asked the family members of the baby to clean the her body with water before cremation as part of rituals.

As the water sprinkled on the baby’s body, the family was surprised to see the movement in body parts of the baby. Without wasting even a moment, the family rushed back to the hospital where the infant was once again admitted.

On the basis of the information from the girl’s family, the police have registered a case for ascertaining any negligence from the part of the hospital.

Later, the physician who attended the baby girl maintained that the girl was born after a premature delivery of seven months and was breathing once in ten seconds. Therefore, her body seemed lifeless.
