Haryana: Naked bodies of man, woman found in trunks

SONEPAT: In what is suspected to be a case of ‘honour killing’; naked bodies of a couple were found inside two big trunks dumped near a park in Sonepat district of Haryana on Monday.

The bodies of an unidentified man and a woman were found inside the trunks dumped near a corner of the Devi Lal Park in Sonepat, informed SP Ashok Kumar.

“The bodies were found in a naked state. While the man was around 30 years old, the woman was around 25-30 years old. The young woman was also wearing a set of bangles which are commonly worn by newlywed women,” SP further informed.

On being quizzed if this could be a case of honour killing, Kumar said that at this stage, there is nothing that could be ruled out.

“We have constituted five police teams that will work on the case and hunt for further clues. We are hopeful about solving the case at the earliest,” he said.

The bodies, now sent for postmortem were found close to the national highway-1 which borders Delhi on one side and UP on the other.
