NEW DELHI: The national capital continues to witness the increasing crime rate against women and children. In a fresh incident, a four-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by the driver of the van in which she traveled to commute till her school in Delhi. What added more to the wound was the school that has denied permission to the girl to enter its premises.
According to the reports, the authorities are upset with the parents of the victim for mentioning the name of the school and have demanded a written apology from them regarding this.
Parents claim that the cab was recommended by the school and have filed a police complaint in the case.
The incident took place on Friday and the accused has been arrested.
Delhi witnessed almost a double crime rate last year. According to the police statistics, cases registered in the capital rose to 1, 47,230 last year, from 73,902 in 2013.
