Major tremors of earthquake felt in Delhi-NCR

NEW DELHI: Major tremors of earthquake were felt in Delhi, National Capital Region on Saturday morning at 11:41 AM. Other parts of northern India including Bihar’s capital Patna and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh too were jolted due to the quake.

Major tremors lasted between 30 seconds and nearly few minutes throughout North India after a huge 7.9 magnitude earthquake rocked Nepal.

• Five people, including two children, were killed when buildings collapsed in different parts of Bihar following the earthquake. The two children of the same family died in a wall collapse in Bhagalpur. One person each was killed in Sitamarhi, Darbhanga and Vaishali, IANS reports.
