BASTAR:  Chhattisgarh government issued notice to an IAS Officer for wearing dark glasses while meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Bastar earlier this month.

The District Magistrate (DM) of Bastar, Amit Kataria, was warned by the state government for violating the protocol and not following the devotion towards duty.

According to the notice, the act is the violation of the section 3 (1) of All India Services (Conduct) Rules, 1968. The notice warns the collector not to repeat such acts in future.

Meanwhile, the state Chief Minister Raman Singh, clarifying the notice, said, “Only a notice has been issued. No further action will be taken. It’s only to tell him that it is against protocol.”

During his visit to Bastar, PM Modi shook hands with the collector who reportedly violated the rules.
