MUMBAI: In a shocking incident reported in the financial capital of India, a man has been shot this afternoon at Film City, a famous film studio complex used extensively by big Bollywood names. 

45-year-old Raju Shinde who reportedly owns a security agency in Mumbai has been rushed to a hospital after he was shot in the stomach and arm by two unidentified men on a motorcycle. The assailants tried to escape the spot after three rounds of bullets but were chased briefly after the incident.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan who was shooting for his upcoming movie at the complex expressed shock over the incident on Twitter. “The 1873 – Okay !! Shooting at Film City .. and a gang war shootout 20 feet from where we are … !!1 dead .. cops all over .. (sic).”

However, soon after the report started making headlines, in another tweet, Big B clarified that the person who was shot at was not dead and was taken to hospital.

T 1873 – Correction : in gang shoot out where I was shooting in Film City person shot at is NOT dead . He has been taken to hospital ..

Speaking about the crime, senior police officer Fateh Singh Patil said, “The assailants were chased by a security guard after the firing and both the attackers had left the spot leaving their motorcycle in the jungle of Arey. We have seized the bike.”
