PATNA: One person was killed after a parcel sent to Janata Dal United (JDU) leader exploded in Gaya, Bihar on Tuesday.
According to the reports, the parcel exploded after it was delivered to JDU district President Abhay Kushwaha at his resident when it was unpacked.
Kushwaha’s brother-in-law and his neighbour got injured in the explosion and were rushed to hospital where the neighbour later died.
The police rushed to the spot and have started an investigation to nab the person who sent the parcel to the JDU leader and are probing the courier company that delivered it.
“The explosion was not a strong one, as it was limited to a small area only, said Gaya Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj, adding we are investigating the matter.
