MUMBAI: Mumbai seems to be getting tougher with drunken driving cases with each passing day and people obviously try different ways to come out of it. While some try to bribe the officials, some manage to run away. In a latest episode on late Monday night, a woman reportedly locked herself in her car for more than two hours as she was stopped during drink driving check, forcing a group of policemen to take desperate measures.
The policemen who suspected her to be drunk stopped her in the upscale suburbs of Bandra. After the test examined on her showed that she had more alcohol than the permissible limit, she rushed back to her car and locked herself in.
According to the reports, she was seated in the car for more than two hours. Not only this, she allegedly played loud music in the car and slept off with a stole on her face.
As claimed by the police, she even abused the officials and threatened them.
Finally, when all measures failed, police chose to smash the window and open the car forcefully where they found disposable glasses and cigarette butts.
After the lady was pulled out by two women police officials, she tried to escape. Reports claim that she chased media crew gathered at the spot and was screaming abuses while being dragged into the car by police.
Before setting her free, the woman was booked and fined by the police.
