WEST BENGAL: In another incident of ‘goondaism’ in West Bengal, the goons, allegedly members of the state ruling Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) headed by Chief Minister Mamata banerjee assaulted a hotelier, reportedly for not paying the extortion money.

Hotelier Altaf Hussain in Diamond Harbour of South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal was brutally assaulted allegedly by 15 TMC men. NewsX has accessed the CCTV footage of the hotel that shows hotelier being brutally being brutally beaten up by 15 men.

He was dragged out of his hotel on Sunday afternoon and beaten up by a gang of about 15 miscreants on the road for failing to cough up Rs 3 lakh which was demanded from him.

The hotelier has alleged that he became the victim for refusing to pay extortion money and added that he was being threatened by the goons of dire consequences if he failed to pay the extortion money ahead of the attack.

While her party has denied of charges against them, the question is if CM Mamata Banerjee would order a probe into the matter in order to reveal the truth.
However, the video clearly shows that the hotelier was being thrashed black and blue in broad daylight by a number of people.

TMC MLA Dipak Haldar denying all allegations levelled against the involvement of the party said that the charges against his party are simply baseless.
Hussain is currently undergoing treatment at a local government hospital.

An FIR has been registered in the case but no arrest has been made yet by the local police.
