WATCH: Delhi Traffic cops fined them for traffic rules violation; they retaliated by bashing up the cops

NEW DELHI: In an ugly case of road rage, two traffic constables were beaten up mercilessly on Monday in Delhi’s Gokulpuri area for reportedly fining some traffic rules violators, reports said.

The incident came into light after one of the spectators’ captured the event on a camera.

The video shows a police cop lying on the road while a group of men, reportedly from Yamuna Vihar are kicking and beating him. The cops can also be seen being slapped several times.

While one of the attacked constables is Delhi Traffic Police Head Constable Jai Bhagwan, the other one has been identified as constable Manoj.

According to the reports, some minors riding a bike were stopped by the cops and asked to present their licence. However, the minors called their family members and the group then started bashing up the cops.

While the two accused have been arrested, the police has detained one. 

In the mean time, the condition of both the constables is reported to be critical.
