Another shocking incident exposing state of affairs of quality of food being supplied under different schemes, worms have been found in mid-day meal that was supplied to 19 Anganwadi centres in Bhopal’s Timrani in Madhya Pradesh.
According to reports, a probe has been ordered in the case. However, there are no reports whether anybody has consumed that food or anybody getting sick.
This is not the first time when food provided in mid-day meal schemes were reported to be unfit for eating. Several instance have been recorded in the past.
In March this year, at least 16 students of a primary school situated at Porvorim fell ill due to suspected food poisoning after eating their mid-day meal.

Prior to that, in 2015 around 50 students of a government primary school at in Lucknow fell ill after consuming milk provided under mid-day meal scheme.
