The Commissioner has also reportedly asked the officials to keep a track on the ‘newly rich’ students, particularly those who are spending an amount more than what their families are earning.
In a letter to DMs and SSPs of Meerut, Bulandshahr, Baghpat, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Hapur and Ghaziabad, Sinha wrote, “IS is recruiting educated young blood who are getting involved into anti-national activities through internet. In rural areas, the young generation easily gets involved into such activities due to religious frenzy.”
Sinha has ordered the officials to get ready with a list of all cyber cafes that running in these districts and track doubtful people visiting them on regular basis.
According to Sinha, non-traditional resources such as personnel from revenue, forest and health departments can be useful for collecting relevant information and tracking activities of anti-social groups that are busy in spreading communal hatred.
