Rapist Ram Rahim’s adopted daughter who was arrested by the Haryana Police last week has been sent to three day police remand as per news agency ANI. The adopted daughter of the tainted baba went missing after Ram Rahim’s conviction and was since on a run. Honeypreet Insan’s accomplice Sukhdeep Kaur has also been sent to police remand. She was arrested on 4th October after which the Panchkula Court ordered six days police remand, and now the court has extended it to 3 more days.

Honeypreet Insan aka Priyanka Taneja was accused of paying Rs 1.25 crore to Dera Sacha Sauda’s Panchkula branch head, Chamkaur Singh in a bid to spread violence after her adopted father’s sentencing. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, accused of two rape cases was convicted on August 25 for 20 years by the Panchkula Court.

While speaking to a daily, Panchkula police commissioner had confirmed that Rs 1.25 crore was paid to Chamkaur but refused to share more details. ACP also confirmed that the broad planning of the violence on August 25 was done in the Dera headquarters in Sirsa ahead of the verdict in the rape case.

Honeypreet was arrested near Zirakpur in Punjab from where she was taken to an undisclosed location where the Haryana Police team engaged in an intense interrogation session. As per reports as many as 300 questions were put out to her by the team and she was accused of not cooperating in the questioning process. Honeypreet Insan was also blamed of changing her statements again and again. The police had kept the location secret in order to avoid any media attention to the event.

The Haryana Police had earlier requested a remand period of at least 14 days for the interrogation process and was handed just 6 days to finish it but this extension now comes as a boost and Honeypreet’s conviction might be on table.
