New Delhi: Chinese tech start-up Xiaomi has reportedly sent press invites for their upcoming event in New Delhi on March 31 to launch their new flagship Mi 5.
Xiaomi Mi 5 is being called the new flagship which will be launched on March 31. Earlier, the company had already launched their new flagship in China and was priced at 1999 Yuan or in Indian currency around Rs 21,000. Reports suggests that it could be somehwere around Rs 25,000 in India. Mi 5 was first unviled at MWC, Barcelona.
Looking at the hardware configuration of the new flagship it seems that the company has efficiently worked around their new project. Running MIUI 7 based on Android 6 Marshmallow, it is expected that Mi 5 will be available in three variants — 3GB+32GB, 3GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB storage options. It packs a 5.15-inch full HD display powered by Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful Snapdragon 820 processor. The new flagship includes a 16MP primary camera with 4-axis OIS and a 4MP secondary ‘selfie’ camera. The smartphone may come in a metal or a 3D ceramic variant.
With such great features, Mi 5 will give a tough competition to Samsung Galaxy S7, Apple iPhone 6 Plus and Lumia 950xl.
