New Delhi: Chinese multinational company Xiaomi on Wednesday launched a new smart home product Mi Air Purifier 2 along with a fitness wearable Mi Band 2 for the Indian customers.

The Rs 1,999 Mi Band 2 will be available on Mi.com starting September 27 and will also be available on Amazon starting September 30.
“At this game-changing price, Mi Air Purifier 2 is set to disrupt the air purifier category in India, enabling us to bring these technological innovations to everyone,” Hugo Barra, Vice President, Xiaomi, told reporters here.
Mi Air Purifier 2 connects to the cloud via Wi-Fi, enabled by the Mi Home app (available on Android and iOS).
The 360-degree cylindrical filter on Mi Air Purifier 2 takes in air more efficiently from every direction compared to conventional air purifiers, the company said in a statement.
Mi Band 2 now comes with an OLED display, features a lightweight and slim design, is IP67 splash-resistant, and comes with a hypoallergenic silicone band.
The company claims that Mi Band 2 has 20 days of battery life. The device is compatible with the Mi Fit app, available on Android and iOS.
Other than activity and sleep statistics, the app allows users to manage alarms and send incoming calls and app alerts as well as reminders to move after sitting for too long.
