New Delhi: Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) heavyweight, ‘The Great Khali’, who had vowed to take his revenge after he got injured while participating in a sporting event in Uttarakhand on Feb 24, has finally fulfilled his promise as he returned in the ring on the second show of ‘The Great Khali Returns Series’.
The celebrated champion beat Brody Steel at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Dehradun on Sunday. Khali had vowed to make a comeback in the second show of ‘The Great Khali Returns Series’ “It will be blood for blood and chair for chair,” said Khali after being discharged from the hospital.

Earlier in an wrestling event on Feb 24, the former WWE wrestler had received seven stitches on his head followed by complaints of back and chest pain. The wrestler was shifted to Max Hospital in Dehradun where he underwent a CT scan and received treatment for chest injuries. He was hit by two Canadian fighters, Mike Knox and Brody Steel, in the head and chest which lead to this serious injury.
The fight had to be stopped mid way after his opponents, Mike Knox and Brody Steel, beated The Great Khali with chairs despite getting injured. His younger brother Surender Rana later revealed that the wrestler was somewhat better and was being kept under observation in the hospital.
Chief Minister Harish Rawat and Pradesh Congress President Kishore Upadhyay also attended the event.
