Sixth ICC World Cup T20 got underway with qualifying stage involving eight teams, two of which will qualify for super 10 stage. There are 35 matches to be played over 27 days in 8 venues including the prelimary league.
Virat Kohli sharing his excitement over playing T20 World Cup said, “We will give our best and make India proud”.
Shikhar Dhawan and Rohith Sharma opening the batting and Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina forming the middle order following others. There is a good batting line up with all-rounder like Hardik Pandya. Dhoni has always been a person who does not like to experiment much, in last two series as well and he would like to stick to successful line up team, Rahul Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan who have been extremely successful on opening slot for India.
Bangladesh on the other hand had drawn over years specially in T20 format and this time they were playing in their home ground and they tend to play very well and made it to the finals against India and they did gave India a good competition.
India is scheduled to play their first match on March 15 against New Zealand.
