Spain: Star striker Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal in the 85th minute saw Real Madrid go 2-1 up against Barcelona. Real Madrid ended Barcelona’s 39-game unbeaten streak in their La-Liga clash at Camp Nou.
The first half of the match was goalless. In the 56th minute, Barcelona defender Gerard Pique registered the first goal for Barcelona. Six minutes later Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema scored an acrobatic equaliser.
Sergio Ramos was given a red card in the 83rd minute. The game changed in the 85th minute when Ronaldo netted a match-winning goal, which was also his 49th goal of the season, to make it 2-1 against the hosts.
Real are currently third in the standings and have also reduced the gap to Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table to six points.
They will next lock horns against Eibar on April 9.
