Suresh Raina excited as Indian Premier League draws closer

Ahead of the ninth season of the extravagant Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016, Suresh Raina, who has been appointed as the captain of new IPL franchise Gujarat Lions, said 'he just wants to go out there and smash the ball’ in IPL 9.
Raina did not have a great World T20, but sounded confident for the upcoming IPL Season 9.
Earlier, Raina was representing Chennai Super Kings, but the team was suspended for two years after the the owner of the team, Gurunath Meiyappan was found guilty in the spot-fixing scandal.

Playing under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, the southpaw had been a match winner for CSK several times as an all rounder.
"That's what I have done in the last few years, be it in the IPL or while playing for India. I have done this really well over the years," Raina said, on the sidelines of a product launch.
Raina is the highest scorer in the IPL and is the only batsman to have scored over 400 runs in each IPL season and with 2802 runs.
