Delhi Daredevils vs Kolkata Knight Riders: Gambhir lauds team effort

Gautam Gambhir lauds KKR’s team effort

Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Gautam Gambhir on Sunday lauded every member of the team for the thumping win over Delhi Daredevils. KKR, in the second match of the  Indian Premier League IPL season 9, brushed aside DD by nine wickets.
Winning the toss, KKR decided to field first and really didn't let Daredevils batsmen to cut loose. One after the other, the Daredevils batsmen kept losing their wickets and totally gave up.
Andre Russell and Brad Hogg scalped three wickets each to restrict the Daredevils to a paltry 98 before the team was all out.
Praising Russell, Gambhir said, “He just landed this morning, and to come up with a performance like that, it is incredible. Half our job was done when we restricted them (Delhi Daredevils) to just 98 runs.”

KKR had no difficulty in chasing the small total and wrapped the match up in 14.1 overs.
Andre Russell was awarded 'Man of the Match' for his stupendous performance with the ball.
