* With 90 runs, David Warner is the Man of the Match

Exhilarating! That is one word fans would associate with today’s match after seeing David Warner pull a Herculean effort to carry Sunrisers to victory. That man was a machine today. With Sunrisers Hyderabad at the bottom of the table currently, not much was expected from this team who lost two of their last matches. But, boy!, were they back with a vengeance.

But it was apparently clear from the first half of the match when Mumbai Indians crumbled under the attack of the Sunrisers’ bowlers and their brilliant pace attack. They could’ve targeted for a higher score to at least bring the match to a par with level which can be considered competitive. But with 142 in 20 overs, people had to little to imagine, and Sunrisers proved rightly so in the second half.

* Let the second half begin.

Whew! That was a hard match to watch. There was no turn at which Mumbai Indians did not feel the extent of the attack from the Sunrisers. Hyderabad: Sunrisers to take on the defending champions in game 12 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians in season 9 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is not having a time like champions as the team has lost 2 out of 3 matches so far in the tournament.  But it seems that they need not to worry because the hosts, Sunrisers, have also not been able to mark their first win.

Mumbai lost out by three wickets in a last-ball finish against the Gujarat Lions on April 16, which brought their momentum down.

Meanwhile the Sunrisers Hyderabad game will depend on Warner, Shikhar Dhawan, Kane Williamson, Eoin Morgan and Moises Henriques if they really want to sail over the Mumbai Indians.

After having performed well in the last clash against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Sunrisers will also be highly dependent on Mustafizur.

So, which team is going to pick up its momentum, let’s wait and watch.

Teams

Sunrisers Hyderabad: (probable) 1 David Warner (capt), 2 Shikhar, Dhawan, 3 Moises Henriques, 4 Eoin Morgan, 5 Deepak Hooda, 6 Naman Ojha (wk), 7 Ashish Reddy, 8 Karn Sharma, 9 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 10 Mustafizur Rahman, 11 Barinder Sran Kieron

Mumbai Indians: (probable) 1 Rohit Sharma (capt), 2 Parthiv Patel (wk), 3 Ambati Rayudu, 4 Jos Buttler, 5 Kieron Pollard/Corey Anderson/Martin Guptill, 6 Hardik Pandya, 7 Harbhajan Singh, 8 Krunal Pandya, 9 Tim Southee, 10 Mitchell McClenaghan, 11 Jasprit Bumrah

Pitch and conditions

The pitch at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium provides a decent bounce and is helpful for setting high targets.
