Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Wednesday gave a green signal to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the Indian Premier League (IPL) match on May 1.

The BCCI had earlier moved the Bombay HC to allow the match in Pune on May 1 between Rising Pune Supergiants and Mumbai Indians to proceed as planned.

The BCCI had moved the court through Ratnakar Shetty citing difficulty arranging Pune’s ‘home’ match outside Pune in one day as Pune has home matches against Gujarat Lions on April 29 and against Mumbai Indians on May 1.

The High Court had slammed the BCCI for being insensitive towards the drought situation in the state and ordered the cricket governing board on April 13 to shift all matches scheduled post April 30 out of the state.
