Delhi: After coming through unscathed in the elimination rounds on the sixth day of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup (Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun) at the Olympics, Indian shooters Gagan Narang and Chain Singh will be vying for a spot in the final of the men’s 50 m Rifle prone event.
 
The Indian duo were among 56 contestants out of 97 who made it through to the qualification round; Gagan, an Olympic Bronze medallist, posted a score of 620 in his elimination round to finish 11th while on the other hand Chain shot 622.5 to be placed sixth. 
 
Gagan and Chain were among those contestants who made it through to the qualification round along with India’s Heena Sidhu who shot a score of 568 points to finish 41st in the women’s 25m pistol event. However ‘Sanjeev Rajput’ was not that lucky, shooting a score of 617.3 in his elimination round to end in the 31st position.
