Mumbai: In a joint Special Leave Petition, The Mumbai Cricket Association and the Maharashtra Cricket Association, on Thursday, moved the Supreme Court against the Bombay High Court’s order to move 13 of the 20 matches, scheduled to be held in Maharashtra, be moved out.
The Bombay HC’s order last week had forced the Indian Premier League (IPL) authorities to look for alternative venues for the matches.
The Bombay HC’s order came in the wake of a severe water crisis in the state of Maharashtra, which is staring at the worst drought in years.
