New Delhi:  Renowned wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt has welcomed the Indian Olympic Association’s decision to name cricketing maestro Sachin Tendulkar as the Goodwill Ambassador at the Rio Olympics 2016.

He said that the former Indian batsman would be a good choice for the position. He also congratulated the move, although Tendulkar is yet to accept the offer. Earlier IOA reportedly approached Sachin Tendulkar and AR Rehman to be the brand ambassadors for the Indian contingent for the Rio Olympics.

It was Yogeshwar who has raised a hue and cry against the sporting body for naming Salman Khan for the same asking why any other Olympian was not chosen.
