Below are some of the reactions of Rising Pune Supergiant’s Stephen Fleming during his exclusive talk with NewsX:
NewsX: Pune's flop show
Stephen Fleming: It's hard to replicate the success of Chennai Super Kings. But we are trying our best. We have been terribly unlucky. We should have won 3-4 more matches. Those were really close.
NewsX: Fleming’s combination with Dhoni
Stephen Fleming: It’s not that it's not clicking here or we are feeling too nostalgic (about our previous franchisee). It’s only that we need to convert the close matches into victories.
NewsX: Ken Williamson's great run
Stephen Fleming: Arguably among the top most New Zealand batsman of all time. He is at present among the 5 best batsmen in the world along with De Villiers, Virat Kohli, Joe Root, Steven Smith.
NewsX: Coaching Team India
Stephen Fleming: I had thought about it a lot and have come to a conclusion that I need time for my family. I’m not really in a mental frame to take up the responsibility. Yes, I am open to it at a later stage.
NewsX: Foreign coach
Stephen Fleming: I think, I would say India has abundance of talent and right now they should go for an Indian coach and not a foreign coach at all.
