Ganguly questions MS Dhoni’s captaincy

Kolkata: Former Test captain Sourav Ganguly on Tuesday questioned the possibility of India’s ODI and T20 captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni leading the team in the 2019 World Cup.
"Every cricket team in the world plans their future. But my question to the selectors is three-four years down the line, do they see MS Dhoni as captain of India?" Ganguly said.
Ganguly’s statement comes in the wake of a poor form for Dhoni himself and his team Rising Pune Supergiants who are second last in the Indian Premier League (IPL) table after losing seven of their 10 matches so far.
"Dhoni has been fantastic in the way he has gone about his job as captain, but does he have the ability in next four years to see India into the World Cup in 2019," he added further.
Virat Kohli, at the helm of the Indian Test team and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) outfit of the IPL tournament, has been in terrific form, irrespective of the format. Many cricket experts feel Kohli should be handed over the reins in the build up to the next World Cup.
Dhoni has, however, repeatedly mentioned in media appearances that he is fit and is looking to play the next World Cup. With rumours being churned faster than sixes in IPL matches, it is anybody’s guess whether ‘Captain Cool’ will lead the ‘Men In Blue’ in 2019 WC or not.
It hasn't been the supreme few weeks for captain cool MS Dhoni, India's One-Day International and Twenty20 International captain. One of the favorites to win the World T20 cap at home, India lost badly to New Zealand in their first match, slipped initially in a modest chase against Pakistan before Virat Kohli's brilliance saw them home.
However with the consistent poor performance of the Indian captain MS Dhoni, former captain Saurav Ganguly has raised a question that whether MS will continue to lead the team in the WC 2019. Although with the exceptional and satisfying continuous performance of Virat Kohli, he is having great chances of leading the team India in the coming WC 2019.
