Verstappen takes advantage of the first-lap collision between Rosberg and Hamilton

Barcelona: Dutch teenager Max Verstappen became the youngest-ever winner of Formula One race after Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton crashed out of the Spanish Grand Prix.

The 18-years-old Red Bull driver took advantage of the first-lap collision between the two former champs.

The collision between Hamilton and Rosberg happened between the third and fourth corners of the first lap.

The accident blew the race wide open with both Red Bull and Ferrari splitting its drivers between two and three-stop strategies.

Hamilton and Rosberg, yet to comment on the incident, will now report to the stewards with the opening-lap incident under investigation.

Verstappen turned in a masterful drive on a two-stop strategy, holding firm under pressure from Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen in the final stint.
