Madrid: Jordi Alba and Neymar struck in extra-time as Barcelona completed a league and Cup double, defeating Sevilla 2-0 to lift the Copa del Rey for 28th time on Sunday.
The fiery game witnessed three red cards at Madrid’s Vicente Calderon stadium.
Barcelona played nearly 90 minutes with just 10 men when Javier Mascherano was red carded in the 36th minute.
Andalusians were also reduced to 10 in second half stoppage when Éver Banega was sent off. They were down to nine men just minutes before the final whistle when Daniel Carriço was red-carded for a foul on Lionel Messi.
The Catalonians finally broke through when Messi lofted a ball to Alba and the left-back thumped in a left-footed shot past Rico to give Barcelona the 1-0 lead.
Neymar made Barcelona's victory secure with a nice finish off another great pass from Messi.
Striker Suarez pulled a hamstring in the 56th minute and was forced off but Barcelona still managed to play despite Sevilla taking the initiative with their extra man.
