Indian men knocked out of French Open

New Delhi: It turned out to be a bad day for Indians at the French Open 2016 on Wednesday as after Bopanna missed out on the quarters another Indian Leander Paes was also knocked out of the tournament.
Paes and his Polish partner Marcin Matkowski were beaten 6-7, 3-6 by the American fifth-seeded pair of Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan on Wednesday.
With both Paes and Bopanna ruled out of the tournament, it also marked the end of Indian challenge in the men’s category of the French open 2016.
The only hope alive now is the Indian Sania Mirza who is still going strong in the mixed double's category and is scheduled to partner with Dodig against the French pair of Alize Cornet and Jonathan Eysseric in the second round of the French Open.
