India lose a spot in latest FIFA rankings

New Delhi: With the Asian Cup qualifiers scheduled to begin from Thursday, June 2, the Blue Tigers have gone down a spot in the latest FIFA rankings.
The Indian Football team has dropped to the 163rd position in the latest FIFA rankings. With 151 points in the Indian kitty, the team has fallen to the 29th rank in the Continent, one below Myanmar.
Stephen Constantine's men will take on Laos today in a must-win situation, the first leg of which will be played in Vientiane, Laos.
A win in Vientiane would secure a berth for the Indian team in the third round of the qualifiers.
The trio — Sunil Chhetri, Jeje and Udanta Singh, and goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu are the key players to watch out for who can turn the game around for the Tigers.
