The five-time World Champions Brazil have been ousted by Peru

New Delhi: Brazil has been knocked out in the group stages of the Copa America after an extraordinary yet controversial Sunday evening at the Gillette Stadium. Since 1987, it was the first time that Brazil has crashed out at the Group Stages of a tournament.
The five-time World Champions have been ousted by Peru in a game of excitement yet disappointment for the Brazilian fans.
Raul Ruidiaz's goal in the 75th minute sent Peru to the top of Group B and the Copa America quarterfinals after a 1-0 win over Brazil. The replays clearly showed that Raúl had handled the ball into the net for the only goal scored in the game. But, in the end, the goal was given, and Peru, having defeated Brazil for the first time since 1985 advance ahead.
Peru will now face Colombia in the quarter-finals whereas the humiliated Brazilian team will return back to train for the Rio Olympics.
