Kolkata: Former Indian cricket team skipper Saurav Ganguly on Tuesday reached Taj Bengal to interview 21 candidates who were shortlisted by BCCI for the post of coach of Indian cricket team. Saurav Ganguly is one of the members of the advisory board who will be interviewing the coaches.
The four member panel is to hold interview in the hotel that would conducted by three veteran cricketer of Indian cricket team Sauran Ganguly, VVS Laxman, Sachin Tendulkar and Sanjay Jagdale . While Ganguly, Laxman, Jagdale would be present at the hotel in person Tendulkar would be joining them via video conference from London.
As per sources, 21 names have been shortlisted for the interview today which is likely to continue till evening.
Of these 11 names 5 names will be shortlisted which would then be handed over to BCCI president Anurag Thakur in Dharamshala by Saurav Ganguly.
As per reports, Anil Kumble, Ravi Shastri, Pravin Amre, Lalchand Rajput and Tom Moody are frontrunners for this post.
