New Delhi: Former Indian skipper and current President of the CAB and President of the Editorial Board with Wisden India, Sourav Ganguly on Wednesday reacted on comments made by former cricketer and director for the Indian cricket team Ravi Shastri regarding the head coach’s job of the Indian cricket team saying, “He is very upset over the statement made by Ravi Shastri.”
“If Shastri thinks I was behind the appointment of Kumble as the coach and not him, then he is living in a fool’s world,” Ganguly said.

Ravi Shastri failed to be selected as the post of head coach of the Indian cricket team and had said that Sourav Ganguly was not even present during the time of his presentation when he was interviewed by the advisory committee.
Speaking on the controversy, sports guru Himanshu Chaturvedi said, “There is some kind of war of words between both of them. Why a person like Sourav Ganguly talking about it. He was in the official state, has done his work and should not react. But if he is reacting then there is something between him and Shastri. This is not only going to affect the moral of the Indian team but also affect the reputation too.”
