London: World number one Tennis player Novak Djokovic on Saturday crashed out of the tournament after suffering a shocking defeat by American Sam Querrey.

Querrey beat the reigning champion by  7-6 (8-6) 6-1 3-6 7-6 (7-5) in the rain-affected match.

This was Djokovic’s first major defeat since French Open 2015 final. The defeat also dashed Serbian’s hope of winning third straight Wimbledon title and a calendar year-slam.
