London: Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Armenian International, has finally completed his move to the Old Trafford, but the former club of the midfielder doesn’t seem to be very pleased with the transfer and couldn’t resist taking a dig at English Premier League bigwigs Manchester United.

Borrusia Dortmund has seen some real force depart from the team as their captain Mats Hummels left for arch rivals Bayern Munich. The German club has also seen Ilkay Gundogan leave.

Earlier, when injured midfielder Ilkay Gundogan left the club to join Manchester City, the German club announced the transfer with an official statement giving a jab to Pep Guardiola who took charge at the Etihad this season.

It read: “The midfielder, who is currently suffering from a knee injury, will leave the eight-time German champions in the summer to join Manchester City, who finished fourth in the English Premier League last season.”

Not just that but on Saturday, when Mkhitaryan’s transfer was announced, the official announcement was more nudging by the German club.

It read: “After intense discussions, BVB has complied with the wish of the Armenia national to join the team who finished fifth in the Premier League last season, Manchester United.”

“Borussia Dortmund would like to wish Henrikh Mkhitaryan all the best for the upcoming season in the Premier League and the UEFA Europa League.”

Dortmund couldn’t help but remind people of United’s woeful last season where no Champions League will be played this season.
