New Delhi: Lewis Hamilton has equalised the record of Stirling Moss after cracking his fourth pole at the British Grand Prix. Hamilton finished ahead of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg at Silverstone.

Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) drove off superbly clinching the pole, followed by Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) and Max Verstappen (Red Bull) who finished at number 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

This is Hamilton's 4th pole victory and was not very easy as his first provisional pole time was deleted after he went off the track, but the Mercedes star got back into the final lap and finished off at the top.

This victory comes at a time when Hamilton was facing tough competition from Rosberg who is still heading the race with 11 points clear in the championship.
