New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India is likely to pronounce its judgement on the Lodha Committee recommendations by the BCCI on Monday. The Apex Court had, earlier, on June 30, reserved its order on the plea by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) against the recommendations that are likely to overhaul the manner in which cricket is administered in the country.

The two-judge bench comprising Chief Justice TS Thakur and Justice Ibrahim Kalifulla were to submit the written judgement before July 21, the day of Justice Kalifulla’s retirement. According to sources, however, the decision is likely to come today.

The Supreme Court, since the start of 2016, has constantly pulled up the cricket board for its reservations against incorporating the recommendations suggested by the three-member panel led by Justice Lodha, appointed by the Supreme Court in January 2015.
