Who is this Tennis champ sentenced to 6 years in jail for rape?

PRETORIA: A judge in South Africa has sentenced the retired doubles Tennis Champion Bob Hewitt to six years in jail for charges of rape and sexual assault against him.

On Monday, Judge Bert Bam sentenced Hewitt to eight years in prison for two episodes of rape, with two years suspended.

The South African judge also sentenced Hewitt to two years in prison for a third charge of sexual assault. He explained that three sentences would be served at the same time which means that the 75-year-old former Tennis champ should spend up to six years in prison.

Bam also ordered Hewitt to pay about $8,500 to state-run campaigns against sexual violence. According to the accusers, Hewitt assaulted them in 1980s and 1990s when they were minors.

The Australian born player, Hewitt has denied all charges against him.
