Shot putter Inderjeet Singh clears second dope test

New Delhi: In what can be termed as a major relief, Rio-bound Shot putter Inderjeet Singh cleared his second dope test on Wednesday.
It is important to note, the 28-year-old shot putter had tested positive in first test conducted on June 22. He was allegedly caught using a banned steroid substance becoming yet another Indian athlete to test positive on the needle after wrestler Narsingh Yadav

The second dope test was conducted on June 29. However, the test results of third and fourth test conducted on July 10-11 are still awaited. The results of these tests will determine the fate of the shot putter in Rio Olympics. 
Inderjeet Singh had clinched the gold medal in Asian championships, Asian Grand Prix and the World University Games last year.
