NewsX 'The Great India Run', day 12: Led by Ironman Milind Soman, marathoners complete 930 kms

'The Great India Run' completes Day 12, NewsX-Pro Sportify, The Great India Run, Rajasthan, Udaipur, marathoners, Day 12, completed 930 kms

New Delhi: The second leg of NewsX-Pro Sportify 'The Great India Run' kicked off in Ahmedabad and now the marathoners have completed 930 kms of the run. The participants were joined by Ironman Milind Soman in Ahmemdabad. On the 12th day the marathoners left the city of Anand in Gujarat and started their journey towards Vadodara.
Dinesh Heda one of the marathoners said, "the second leg of the run is much easy as far as the wheather is concerned.  The climatic conditions seems to be in our favour but still there are other hurdels including the traffic though the arrangements made by the organisers are excellent but one has to be very careful at all point of time.    
I think the people that are behind the stage especially the physios who make all these athletes to come back to the same pace the next day and also make them ready for their run the next day are doing a commendable job," said Saji Chacko, sports editor, The Sunday Guardian.  
NewsX-Pro Sportify ‘The Great India Run’ is a cross-country run which is witnessing 18 Indian and many international runners participating in a bid to create a new record for the fastest time, covering a distance of 1,480 kms in 21 days.
On an average, the runners have been running 80 km a day, starting at 6 am every morning.
