Milind Soman runs barefoot for NewsX The Great India Run; to cover 570 kms

Ahmedabad: Growing young with age, the 50-year old former supermodel and running enthusiast, Milind Soman has taken another mammoth task on his hands. The Bollywood actor has set his sights on covering a stretch of 570 kilometres between Ahmedabad and Mumbai via Silvassa.
Not just this, Soman is going to run this stretch barefoot! Talk about tall tasks!
Milind Soman is also called “The Ironman” for completing the world’s toughest triathlon in Zurich with a course of 3.8 km swim, 42.2 km run and 180.2 km cycle ride in just 15 hours.
Starting his 570-km long run from July 26 onwards, Soman reached Anand, Gujarat by covering a distance of 67 kilometres on the first day. Another 62 kilometres were completed by him on the second day.
Today being the fourth day of the second leg of ‘NewsX The Great India Run,’ Milind Soman is expected to cover a distance of 60-70 kilometres. The run on Saturday started from Bharuch and is expected to be halted at Navsari at the end of the day.
Milind Soman would be seen leading a group of around 15 marathoners who have participated in ‘NewsX The Great India Run’ - India’s first multi-city marathon.
